Participate in definition of project scope by assessing impact on timelines, effort, quality, cost and risks based on information from early stages of projectlife cycle (requirements analysis, solution design) Identify program technical dependencies, manage cross-functional teams to drive, track and deliver all
necessary IT components and data alignment to complete the delivery and testability of the E2E solution. Create project plans with vendors from design to go-live incorporating time and resources needed and assembles these into a delivery roadmap Contribute to functional designs and assure they are clear, consistent and complete and can be translated into viable technical solution conforming to architectural guidelines, standards, blueprints, etc. Guide and monitor detailed technical designs from vendors to ensure solutions are provided as defined in high level and functional designs Perform technical vendor management related to project: day-to-day management of vendor activities, review/QA of vendor deliverables Coordinate and monitor software delivery from vendors assuring quality of deliverables.

Job purpose

▪ The Project Manager Core Networks is accountable for the delivery of
complex, global, high-risk products and services,
▪ including ensuring end-to-end service testing and compliance. You have
strong communication skills, you’re able to deal with numerous external
partners and engage senior stakeholders.
▪ The role holder will have Technical and Integration/planning involvement
at all stages, for all projects and Releases to deliver end-to-end products
and services, that have been tested functionally and end-to-end. Working
closely with Product, Architecture, GDO and numerous Delivery teams
across
▪ Ensures Technology deliver according to agreed Architecture and Release
plan the Connectivity products and services to technical readiness and
successful completion of Technical Field Trials (TFT) enabling handover to
countries for Operational Field Trials (OFT) prior to full commercial launch
/ release.
▪ Ensures that key stakeholders have sufficient depth and amount of
information to make well informed project governance decisions.

Key Accountabilities

▪ Liberty Global’s FTTH network construction costs across all
country organizations and business requirements
▪ Create a strategy to optimize Liberty Global’s construction quality and
costs e.g. via improved construction methods/ processes and used
materials or innovations
▪ Acting as a PoC for construction service and required knowledge
transfers especially towards the country organizations
▪ Continuously reviewing existing construction methods/ processes and
market developments/ innovations to identify improvement
opportunities.

Knowledge & Experience

▪ Capable of transforming our HFC networks towards Fibre to the Home
networks in a most cost efficient way (e.g. via re-using existing
infrastructures like ducts, cabinets, etc)
• Capable to optimize construction costs in a multi-country environment
while improving build quality
• Understanding of worldwide use materials, vendor landscape and
processes to construct Fibre to the Home networks
• Understanding of civil works in the telecommunications industry and
associated tooling (regular trench, micro-trench, others)
• Thorough knowledge of splicing and fibre testing technics/ processes and
associated tools
• Able to balance requirements from business, operations and industry
trends to facilitate solutions that deliver ongoing capabilities
• Strong team leadership and time management skills/ good interpersonal
skills, able communicator
• Higher level of education in a related field or an equivalent combination
of training and experience.
• Hands on experience in Access Networks construction/ build
• Different PON Access technologies (GPON, XGSPON)
• Different FTTH country legislations across the European telecom
landscape.
